Grief has a way of consuming everything, making even the smallest moments feel impossibly heavy. I remember days when the weight of loss made it hard to move, to breathe, to be. 

But I also remember the moment I stepped outside—into the gentle rhythm of nature—and felt the smallest glimmer of calm. That was when I began my healing journey, and the outdoors became my sanctuary.

When I visited Drew’s favorite beach, I felt his presence in the crash of the waves and the warmth of the sun. It reminded me that connection doesn’t end with loss; it transforms. 

By creating intentional rituals in nature, I found a way to process my grief and reconnect with the beauty of the love we shared.

Planting and watching flowers grow can be a beautiful way to honor the love that continues to bloom, even in absence. Memorial plants also create a quiet space for reflection, helping transform grief into something meaningful.

Carry small natural objects—like a smooth stone or a seashell—that remind you of cherished moments. These tokens can act as gentle anchors, helping you feel gratitude for the memories that continue to shape you.

Nature Observation Sessions

Revisiting the same spot throughout the year can help you witness nature’s transformations, offering a powerful reminder that renewal is always possible. As the seasons shift, it can bring hope and guide you through your process of overcoming grief.
