Everyone wants to attract abundance and prosperity. But how do you actually do that? Here are the practical, tangible steps I take to invite flow into my life.
If you’re like me, you want it all. You want a job that makes a real difference. You want a creative passion that gives you purpose. You want enough income to take care of your family. You want enough time to be able to enjoy your family. You want a love that will stand by your side as you walk through all this together.
Add on top of that: travel, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, career goals, a team who feels like family, a beautiful office, a chic wardrobe, and a clean bill of health. There’s a lot to want in this world. And that doesn’t make you greedy.
See, the thing is, what really matters is the intention behind those wants and needs. Do we want those things for the right reasons? Are we chasing dreams that make an impact? Are we showing up for our families, friends and team members? We can want all the beautiful things in life — we can want it all — as long as we want them for the right reasons.
That, my friends, is the key to creating abundance and prosperity that will make you truly happy.
How To Attract Abundance And Prosperity
If you’ve found your way here to my blog, my guess is your heart is in the right place. Your intentions are noble. Your soul is honorable. More likely, you’re getting stuck in the “how.”
How do you create a life of abundance and prosperity, so you can use it to make this world a better place for the people you love? Well, I spent years searching long and hard for the answers to these questions. I made mistakes. I learned from them. I kept my eyes and my heart open as I collected the thoughts and tools I needed to finally create the life I imagined.
And it worked. So now, I’m fulfilling one of my soul missions, and I’m sharing it all with you.
Let’s dive into the 7 steps that will open your abundance center and let the love pour in — so you can give it all back.
-
Affirm Your Mindset
The first thing I want you to know about attracting abundance into any area of your life is how easy it is if you just let it happen. You see, the world’s riches are already yours. Everything you want is already yours. All you have to do is let yourself have it.
I know, you’re either thinking: “Huh, yeah right,” or “Easier said than done, Melissa.” Well, if you are stuck on the first one, you have some catching up to do with this blog. But if you’re simply wondering how to let yourself have your heart’s desires, then you’re right — it is easy.
Now, it’s not automatic. You do have to make a conscious effort to change the way you’re thinking. But once you allow yourself to believe you deserve your desires, and they are coming your way, then you can access deep abundance. Claiming abundance as your own thought begins to make the change, and after that, you can access your prosperity quite quickly.
Start by opening yourself up to the belief that: “I am a steady flow of abundant, prosperous energy.” The more deeply you trust that thought, the more deeply and quickly the change will occur. When your thoughts become prosperous, your outcomes become prosperous.
-
Live By Example
Abundance is not something you can force on someone. It’s something you have to discover.
That being said, one of the best ways to show this world you’re ready for your deepest prosperity is to simply start living like you are. Allow yourself to discover the beauty of abundance, and then live accordingly. Don’t make the world force it on you.
And once you do, help others do the same. Remember: Just because you now know of a higher form of abundance and flow doesn’t mean everyone else will get it. So the best way to help others share in the abundance you’ve discovered is simply to lead by example.
Become a magnet for positivity and gratitude. Bring faith and trust into your daily interactions. Lead with love and grace, knowing you will always be ok. Show others what it looks like to trust that there’s enough in this world for everyone.
Align the way you think, act, and show up in this world with faith in prosperity — because that’s when you can become truly happy and free.
-
Invest In Others
Another way you can live by example is by investing in others. The flow of abundance is cyclical; the more you give, the more you get. By showing others they’re valuable — and worth your investment of time, love or money — you are helping open their capacity for prosperity. That kind of faith and contribution will come back to you.
In fact, you can even do things to show the universe you’re contributing to the flow of abundance. For example, give your team a bonus, and then give one to yourself, too. You are leading by example and investing in others. You are doing something that symbolizes your collective value.
I firmly believe in letting the money flow, and using it to invest in myself, my family, my team, and my community. Invest in people who can’t do for themselves. Live with a prosperous attitude and allow that to guide you toward blessing others. That’s how you invite true abundance into your life, for good.
-
Spend Like A Steward
Now, on the flip side of that is another extreme. Just like you don’t want to be miserly with your money, you also don’t want to be irresponsible or flippant. Instead, strive to act as the steward of you wealth.
The best way I know how to do that is to set healthy boundaries around your money. Decide what’s worth spending on and what’s not. Set limits for yourself. Don’t drain your accounts to save others or make yourself feel good. That’s not what it’s there for. It’s there to support you as you support yourself and others. That means you have to approach your spending with a sense of balance that allows it to grow.
For example, in every relationship, there’s usually someone who’s more comfortable with spending and someone who’s more comfortable with saving. The trick in establishing healthy boundaries around your money is to find the balance between the two. See if you can play both roles when it comes to your money. There should be an optimistic voice and a practical voice in your head, so together, they make you a good steward of your resources.
-
Engage Money Daily
The more engaged you are, the more abundance flows. You attract what you think about, so when you focus on your money daily, it helps bring prosperous energy to the forefront of your mind and your life.
Engaging your money, however, doesn’t mean checking your accounts every day to obsess over the numbers. It means tending to the positive energy that will encourage prosperity.
For example, try approaching your money with creativity instead of stress or panic. The more you allow creativity to flow, the more prosperity it will invite into your life, and happiness, joy, and confidence simply follows.
Positive ways of staying engaged with your money could include conversations about investments, civic contributions or philanthropy. It means not handing the reins or responsibility over to someone else. It’s not something you do from a distance. Stewardship is an active, engaged role of service that you practice on a daily basis — and it will pay off.

Talk To Your Bills
This is one of my most out-there solutions, but when you break it down, it’s actually quite simple. And you may even realize you’ve been doing it without thinking. So let’s add a little bit of conscious intention to that habit and see what happens.
Here’s how it works. When my incoming bills outnumber what I have in my account, I say to my bills, “Oh, this should be interesting. Let’s see how this plays out. I’m interested to see how this all works out.” Seriously! Try it!
By looking at my financial situation as an interesting situation — and trusting that it will work out because it always does — I’m taking away the fear and scarcity and inviting creativity in its place. Money loves creativity. It loves innovation and problem-solving. It has an active, creative growth energy that’s attracted to inventive solutions and playful approaches.
When you approach a money problem as an interesting challenge, it frees you up to get creative and address the situation with a prosperous attitude, instead of a desperate one. Sure, I may have a knot in my belly, but I have the song of abundance in my heart. And that makes all the difference.
So try it. Praise your bank accounts. Tell them how much you love seeing them grow. Talk to them about your dreams for the future. Assure them that every right opportunity is on its way to make them flourish. Embrace the sense of fearlessness that comes with a prosperous mind and see where it takes you.

Develop Gratitude For Real
There’s a reason everyone is talking about the magic of a daily gratitude practice. Vibrationally, it re-aligns you with the feeling of having enough. It puts you in a space where you’re thinking about what you already have, which in turn opens you up to have more. So let’s dig into gratitude practices.
Yes, starting your day by listing 3-5 things you’re grateful for is a great way to step into a prosperous mindset. However, for many people, that’s easier said than done. When you try this exercise the first time or even the first 100 times, it can feel good at first and then quickly lose its luster.
The trick is the meaning you put behind it. You have to deeply mean it every time. You can’t just go through the motions with this one. To help me do this, I add a little step to the typical gratitude list. After each item, ask yourself why you’re grateful. Then write out the reason. This helps you connect with the beauty in your life, instead of just counting it like you’re taking a gratitude inventory.
